A titanic struggle between experienced pairing Graeme Quinn & Rod Peters on one side and the tenacious Dave Barrow on the other, eventually resulted in a 2 and 1 victory for the Quinn / Peters combination.
Dave’s partner Stu McLaren, currently in Fiji, was reportedly very proud that Dave had played so well in his absence.

a) The cost of the accommodation will be determined by the number of people attending. The Lodge is equipped with a number of two (2) bedroom units that can be shared. I need to supply this information to the Lodge. With all others it will be taken that you want your own unit. They would like this info as soon as possible.
b) Arrangements for meals -
1) do you want a meal organized at the Maraenui Golf Club after the game or do you want to go back in the evening?
2) do you want a meal organized at the Lodge or some other establishment on the last night, that being Thursday, 25 Oct ‘12?
3) do you wish to make your own arrangements at the local restaurant?
It would be greatly appreciated to have your reply by 25 March ‘12 regarding your accommodation requirements. Time moves on and the Lodge would like to arrange their year also.
As to the meal requirements the majority results will be the determining factor. If there is no conclusive majority, you’re on your own.

The Club has enlisted the following volunteers:
Website Manager/Editor
Thanks: to Caren Martin who has volunteered to be our website coordinator. We wish her well in learning the ins and outs of WordPress (our website editor software) – a somewhat tedious task – and we will be patient till her perseverance proves fruitful.
Club Historian
Thanks: to Wynn Ingram who has taken on the up-dating of our Club history. If you have old photos, knowledge or anecdotes that might be useful, please get in touch with Wynn.

The 2012 Quinovic-Waikanae Pro-Am held on Wednesday 1 February 2012 was a great success at many levels. It was a day to make one proud to be a member of such a cohesive Club. This highlight day of the year was marred only by the rainy weather. However, the volunteers who helped run the day surmounted all discomfort and weather-related inconveniences to put on a fine showing of how a club can pull together. Thanks to all the volunteers on the day - Starters, Spotters, Referees, Scorers, Raffle Sellers and general roustabouts – you made it all work on the day and evoked many unsolicited compliments. Behind the scenes and prior to the day there was a huge volunteer effort in bringing the course and its surrounds up to a very high standard. The Club acknowledges your effort, and is most grateful for all the freely given contributions of time and effort. Well done, Waikanae!
