36 Hole Net Stroke Cup – Round 1: In absolutely atrocious conditions 18 men took to the course and everyone of them deserves credit for staying out throughout the round. The leaders at the halfway stage all on Nett 76, are Stu McLaren, Peter Burleigh, Roger Broadbelt and Grant Waterhouse.
Hopefully the weather conditions will improve for the second round next Sunday, 22nd July 2012.
Stableford Competition – Congratulations to Robyn Donaghy who won with 41 points, Diana Andrews runner up with 39 points and Debbie Turner who came 3rd with 38 points. From a field of 22

15th & 22nd July 2012 – 36 Hole Net Stroke Cup
Winter Cup Congratulations to Adam Walding who won the Winter Cup with a very good score of 40 Stableford points. He also was able to post a first score of net 67 in the popular Shootout qualifying competition
Net Competition Congratulations to Ilene Wilson who won the competition with a score of net 72 and Julie Harris runner up with a score of net 73. The only hole in two was scored by Ilene on the 14th Hole
Strokeplay Champ Gross – Round 1
Leading is Francine Callis on 91, currently 2nd is Jenny Heggie on 91 and 3rd is Robyn Donaghy on 100
Winter Plate Nett – Round 1
Leading is Maureen Creasy with 76, currently 2nd is Francine Callis on 77 and 3rd is Jenny Heggie on 78

Monthly Medal & Golfer of the Year – Under difficult conditions, that were reflected in the scores, the winner was Kevin Aanensen with a net 73, winning on countback from Gary Coutts and Cliff Martin.
For the second Monthly Medal in a row, a Hole in One was achieved, by one of the competitors. On this occasion, it was Rod Peters on the 8th hole, who hit the ultimate shot.
Qualifying began also for the Shootout competition and as previously mentioned the difficult conditions undoubtedly affected the scoring. After the 1st round, Peter Venner with 71 net is at the top of the leader board, but with another 9 rounds to qualify, the field is wide open at this early stage, for all those who have already signed up for this event. For those still wishing to join, the sign-up sheet is in the Pro Shop, entry only $40.
LGU & Putting – Given the cold, frosty weather and representation at Royal Wellington in the Tuakana Interclub competition, 6 ladies played at Waikanae, with Liz Cavies winning with a net 76 and Olive Mitchell, runner up with a net 85
Round 5 LGU & Putting Congratulations to Marcia Thipthorpe with a net 70, Sallie Blagdon runner up with 73.

Irish Nett Medal – Congratulations to the team of Gary Mabey, Mark Morrissey, Ian Heggie & Mike Jennings who won the Irish Nett Medal event with a competitive score of 213.
