Course Development Plan
The Waikanae Golf Club Strategic Plan includes:
- Course Development Plan – Annex B.
- Course Standards & Maintenance Schedule – Appendix 3
6th February 2013: Wilkin sets record and gets maiden win at Waikanae
Fraser Wilkin of Auckland may have qualified second through the recent New Zealand PGA Q School but he was in a class of his own, winning the Quinovic Waikanae Pro-am by three clear shots, recording an eight under par round of 63 – a new course record.
His start was not all that auspicious, a shank on his second hole bringing him his only bogey of the day, righting this on his next hole with a chip-in birdie, then simply making birdies on all par fives plus a few others.
27th March 2013: Ron Olivecona, while representing Waikanae Golf Club in an Interclub fixture against Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club at Waikanae on shot an incredible round of Gross 66. Because this was in a matchplay contest, it cannot be recognised in the true sense as a course record, although it is highly likely to be the best round, by an amateur golfer at Waikanae, in its current course layout.
1st July 2001 – Jeanette Futter achieved a new Women’s Course Record with a Gross 75, on the 5,283 metres Women’s course
25th April 2008 – Caroline Bon achieved a course record with a Gross 68 on the course set up for the 2008 New Zealand Women’s Strokeplay Championship
