COMPLETED WORK
- Verti Drain Greens with 12mm solid tines at 225mm deep.
- Verti Drain all par 3 key ways.
- Irrigation intake pipe was converted from plastic to steel.
- Removal of liner from 13th fairway bunker, and practice bunker.
- The 14th bunker took liner out and reshaped and filled with dune sand.
Course Grooming
- The greens were cut every second day, but rolled everyday. Fair ways were cut weekly. Rough was cut twice this month.
- Tee banks were mown and weed-eated.
- Started to stamp cape daisy with Tordon granules.
- Top dressed tees twice this month.
Greens
- Verti drained with 12mm solid tines.
- Sanded greens twice and drag mated the sand in.
- Sprayed greens with: Green Max 20ltrs/per/hect, Digester 3ltrs/per/hect, Iron Sulphate 6kg/per/hect, Ammonium Sulphate 12kg/per/hect, Cyhella 40ml/per/hect.
Machinery
- Faulty Golf Cart, fixed the old golf cart that was stored at the back of the shed. We stripped it down and found it had a broken chassis and also needed a new battery. A new battery was purchased for $150 and after some major welding took place, we now have a operational vehicle.
- Toro Twister, Clutch spring, roller pins and spider kit have been replaced.
July Agenda:
- Bunkers- remove more liners.
- Spray- around tress and paths.
- Stamp- cape daisy with Tordon granules.
- Spray out of bounds lines with BUSTER.
- Remove pine at back of the 1st green.
MISCELLANEOUS
Greens Staff
Ethan Bull started as our 2IC on the 2nd of June 2009, and already has fitted in well with all staff members. He is demonstrating he has a sound knowledge of the industry, and is very dependable, motivated with all necessary skills to enable him to carry out his new role to a very high standard.
