The Second 9 Holes

The 10th Hole

A long hole into a widening fairway. Most play their second shot

short of the green so as to chip onto the green, over the stream.

The narrow opening of the fairway.

Two pot bunkers hide at the rear of the green.

The 11th Hole

An interesting hole with a hidden, but straight, fairway over mounds ahead of the tees.

An open fairway that allows a good shot to the green.

The green is large, but slopes quickly towad the right.

Looking back down the fairway.

The 12th Hole

A short par 3 to an elevated green.

Short and the ball will roll back to the bottom of the steep slope.

A high shot will hold on the green.

The green slopes from east to west so plenty of borrow is required

for all putts.

The 13th Hole

The signature hole on the Waikanae Course.

Teeing from elevated tees for the men and lower level for the women.

Tee shots are required over the wetlands and stream. A wide fairway awaits

a good tee shot. Then a straight forward shot will then avoid the bunker

short and right of the green. The green slopes from south to north. Though

a seemingly simple hole this hole is rightfully stroke hole 1 for men.

The Blue tees over the wetlands.

The White tees to the open fairway.

Yellow tees over the stream.

The green slopes back to the fairway.

The 14th Hole

Teeing off at the 14th

Playing from the white tees is a straight shot into a two tiered green. A par 3 being, 136m from the White tees and the 148 from the Blue Tees 148m. An accurate shot is needed to play between a Pohutakawa tree and a Norfolk Pine. The green is protected at the front right by a bunker which runs parallel to the green. The Waimeha Stream runs along the left of the hole and is Out of Bounds.
