The Golfer of the Year competition is a season long event. 

There are 10 rounds spread over 10 months (February to November).  Points are awarded based on a players position in each round. 

The last two rounds (October and November) carry bonus points. 

One 'discard' round is allowed across the season.  The discard is first applied after Round 5, where a players lowest score for all rounds is deducted from their overall total.
